Philosophy

Abadal was founded in 1983 by Valentí Roqueta in Santa Maria d’Horta d’Avinyó, on the lands close to his family home, Masia Roqueta. He came from a family with more than nine centuries of history and a long-standing tradition in wine growing. The vineyards are the testimony of that family’s enduring passion. There are few areas where vines and woods coexist in the Bages area. Our vineyards grow in a wooded area with a microclimate of contrasting conditions that give intensity to our grapes and quality to our wines. Our vine stock, the scarce rainfall and the latest in wine-growing and wine-making techniques are the pillars for magnificent red wines and singular white wines with a unique identity.
